GETTING TO THE SKI HUB FROM GENEVA
Geneva is our closest major international travel hub, however there are a number of smaller international airports nearby. Our Val Thorens Hub can be accessed by a variety of transport options. BY TRAIN
From Geneva Airport or Geneva Cornavin station take a train to Moûtiers‑Salins‑Brides‑les‑Bains; journeys typically take around three to four hours and may involve one change (commonly at Chambéry), though seasonal direct TGVs run in winter.
From Moûtiers there are regular shuttle buses and shared transfers to Val Thorens taking about one to one and a half hours, or you can hire a taxi for a faster, more expensive transfer. Check SNCF timetables and book tickets and transfers in advance, especially during the peak ski season, and allow extra time for luggage and connections.
BY BUS
- From Geneva Airport (GVA) expect approximately 3 to 4 hours by shuttle bus.
- From Lyon–Saint‑Exupéry (LYS) expect approximately 3 to 4 hours.
- From Grenoble Alpes–Isère (GNB) expect approximately 2 to 3 hours.
- From Chambéry–Savoie (CMF) expect approximately 1.5 to 2.5 hours.
- From Turin Caselle (TRN) expect approximately 3.5 to 5 hours.
BY CAR
